Tools for Effective Expression, Production & Purification
2018年1月11日 - 12日
The utilization of engineered therapeutic proteins for basic research, clinical diagnostics and therapy continues to expand. Consequently, protein expression laboratory researchers face challenges in efficient expression, production, and purification even while improving quantity and quality and minimizing time and cost. Transient protein production (TPP) has the advantage of speed and limiting risk while stable transfection - the longer and more complex process - has the advantage of producing long-term expression of the biotherapeutic of interest. The rapidly increasing need for recombinant proteins necessitates further improvements in both technologies.
Cambridge Healthtech Institute's Fifth Annual Optimizing Expression Platforms conference convenes protein expression specialists who share their experiences of the differences, tradeoffs, and improvements in producing recombinant proteins in transient or stable production systems, and who investigate their advantages and disadvantages and when to use both.
We invite presentation proposals on the following preliminary topics:
- CHO cell lines
- HEK293 cell lines
- Expression vector selection
- Transfection optimization
- Transfection performance
- Automation in transient transfection
- Cell culture optimization
- Cell culture monitoring
- Automation of cell maintenance
- Optimizing the secretion of recombinant proteins
- Improvements of cytoplasmic expression
- Solubility and protein folding
- Glycosylation and other posttranslational modifications
- Increasing speed and lowering cost
- Stable expression vs. transient expression
- Establishing an efficient production facility
Deadline for submission: June 30, 2017.
All proposals are subject to review by the Scientific Advisory Committee to ensure the overall quality of the conference program. Please note that due to limited speaking slots, preference will be given to abstracts from those within pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies, regulators and those from academic centers. Additionally, as per CHI policy, a select number of vendors/consultants who provide products and services to these biopharmaceutical companies are offered opportunities for podium presentation slots based on a variety of Corporate Sponsorships.
